Festival Preview: Gottwood 2013

If you do anything today, other than enjoy a beer in the sunshine, go buy a ticket to Gottwood festival and imagine how much better your life will be when, on 20th to 23rd June, you'll be enjoying the likes of Maribou State, Extravelt, Crazy P, Waze & Odyssey, surrounded by loads of trees! And lights! And sun! (maybe - this is Wales we're talking about)

Literally look at all these lot:

Extravelt | Bicep | Wolf Music | Crazy P | Marcus Intalex | 2 Bad Mice | Detroit Swindle | Wave & Odyssey | Ejeca | Maribou State | Eton Messy

Seriously. You should be going for Maribou State alone, really...

Festival Preview: Soundwave Croatia 2012

New Music Festival | Soundwave 2012

England has its advantages when it comes to festivals. It's close (being where I live). I guess that's about it. So Croatia pretty much wins hands down when you look at it that way. And when you skim through even this tiny NMB pick of the lineup (full lineup here) and watch the teaser video you'll see what I mean:

De La Soul | Fink | DJ Yoda | Ghostpoet | Submotion Orchestra | Teebs | Mr Thing | Olugbenga | Funkineven | Stac

And so many more amazing new school and old school bands and DJs. And beach. And sun. And oh my god just watch this and then book your flight!

Festival Preview - Camden Crawl 2012

New Music Festivals | Camden Crawl 2012

London's festivals are always in a bit of a state of flux. Wireless used to be cool. Field Day used to be way too scene. LED was awesome then turned into a Deadmau5 fest last year (which was awesome obviously). I've always overlooked Camden Crawl... UNTIL NOW.

Put this line up in ya bum bag:

Death In Vegas | Charli XCX | D/R/U/G/S | Rolo Tomassi | Alpines | Disclosure | Jape | Keep Shelly In Athens | Loney Dear | Mistabishi

So much new talent I might have a crank. Tickets are insanely good value so BUY ONE NOW

New Music Event: Hospitality @ Fabric, Jan 6th 2012

New Music Event | Hospitality @ Fabric

Well it might be a bit bigger than Digital in Brighton, but Fabric is every bit as messy in the main room. This Friday will see some big names take the controls so make sure you're there. Tickets are sold out (boo) but there are, apparently, 1000 on the door. I've got mine but my friends don't so I'll be queueing up with you. Here's the highlights (and by highlights, I mean more or less the whole damn list):

High Contrast | Camo & Krooked | S.P.Y. |  Cyantific | Nu:Tone | Logistics | Fred V & Grafix | Azonica | 16 Bit | TC | Joe Syntax | Blu Mar Ten

Goody gumdrops. One of my all time "HOW HAVE I NOT SEEN THIS BAND" (or DJs, whatever) are Brazil's finest, The Twelves. They must be the most underrated DJ team of all time. Unlike Scott Parker who must literally be the most overrated footballer in the history of ALL sport. So, all in all, I'm pretty stoked at Kitsuné's latest club night at XOYO on October 14th.

And Miami Horror! Live!

I've got my ticket, and if you're not going then there must literally be something wrong with you, or you're busy. Which is fine.

New Music Event: Electro Vs Dubstep Wars @ Koko

New Music Event | Electro Vs Dubstep Wars @ Koko

Hosted by The Playground, Electro Vs Dubstep Wars promises to be another filthy night at Koko, on September 10th. With Steve Aoki (the man behind the absolutely insane Dim Mak label) headlining his only London show of 2011, electro doesn't come much tastier. Plus with some Modestep thrown in the mix and one of my favourite bands Does It Offend You, Yeah? it's almost too good to be true. But it is. Weird huh.
