criminalminds - Raise Your Weapon (Deadmau5 vs Skrillex vs Madeon)

New Music | Skrillex

I'm a bit over mashups, but this is pretty good. That's about it. More from Skrillex to follow.

What! I'm hungover.

Baby D - Let Me Be Your Fantasy (Deadmau5 Remix)

New Music | Deadmau5 | Baby D

I'm a sucker for Baby D. We played this on repeat back in 1994 almost as much as Brimful Of Asha by Cornershop, and N-Trance, Set You Free. Now the big-red-eared man has stepped up and this is a pretty sexual remix that has gotten me all excited about LED festival this summer, featuring some big names and some new names like:

Deadmau5 | Nero | Skrillex | Jaguar Skills | Netsky

So obviously we'll be there. And it's my birthday weekend. Ish. Go get some tickets >

Ones To Watch 2010

New Music | Ones To Watch 2010

Gone with a straight up Top SIX this year. None of this Top Ten business, it's twenty ten for christ's sake.

1. Top spot goes to your man Alex Metric, whose lack of video content astounds me:

2. Next up the man in the stupid mouse mask with a spot on video:

 3. The Twelves finally broke through into our sunny climes recently with their Essential Mix on BBC Radio 1. That made me a happy boy. Look out for more this year. The below is ancient but what can you do, no major label, no sexy videos.

4. Miami Horror's been doing the rounds in the back half of twenty oh nine, and for good reasons. Video's pretty pony, but the tune's a keeper.

5. These guys worked their way into our Ones To Watch basically by default. Ticking all the 'up & coming' boxes on 09, even if not in the UK, they'll be on 'da scene' this year, just you wait and see.

6. Citadels are warming up already for this year's festivals. No seriously. Boost below the fold for Jimmy Lazers on "osmosis":

Top 10 Albums 2009!

New Music | Top 10 Albums 2009

Alas, dear friends, for I fear little Phoenix may have squeezed into the mainstream. And Animal Collective? Really? Maybe we're safe for another year, I don't know. Anyway bonjour and welcome to le top 10 for 2009 as dictated by NMB. No Grizzly Bear, no thanks. No Kasabian, no thanks. Just pure 2009 style quality, a vintage year that competes strongly with 2008

  1. Phoenix - Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix
  2. Passion Pit - Manners
  3. Deadmau5 - For Lack of a Better Name
  4. Animal Collective - Merriweather Post Pavillion
  5. DM Stith - Heavy Ghost
  6. Neon Indian - Psychic Chasms
  7. Sally Shapiro - My Guilty Pleasure
  8. St Vincent - Actor
  9. Au Revoir Simone - Still Night, Still Light
  10. The Thermals - Now We Can See

And best music related video has to (by so far it's not even really fair) go to Spike Jonze and Kanye. Congratulations?
