A few years down the line (almost 10 as it goes, which is pretty scary) and Sia Furler is still making great music. Which is nice to know. A bit heavy, a bit Monday Morning, but quality guitars and we've all missed those guitars haven't we. I mean not that Owl City aren't absolutely superb of course -Hoosiers have really got something to worry about.

 3. The Twelves finally broke through into our sunny climes recently with their Essential Mix on BBC Radio 1. That made me a happy boy. Look out for more this year. The below is ancient but what can you do, no major label, no sexy videos.

4. Miami Horror's been doing the rounds in the back half of twenty oh nine, and for good reasons. Video's pretty pony, but the tune's a keeper.

5. These guys worked their way into our Ones To Watch basically by default. Ticking all the 'up & coming' boxes on 09, even if not in the UK, they'll be on 'da scene' this year, just you wait and see.
